Emotional Intelliegence
Life is a rollercoaster ride. For those of us who are particularily
sensitive to the ups and downs this can seem to be a curse. It
is a well known truism that genius and madness are closely linked.
The ability to weather the storm is often predicated by the ability
to understand what is really going on. Understanding the nature
of what is really going on is critical. It is a common reaction
to be told to pull yourself together when experiencing turmoil;
yet this is the last thing that is possible unless you choose
to repress your feelings.
It is estimated that 1 in 25 people carry high levels of sensitivity
to outside forces. This is a gift rather than a curse, however
in a world that has little regard for sensitive beings it can
be a curse. Understanding the nature of WHAT you are sensitive
to is critical and learning to manage HOW you perceive your perceptions
is critical. To understand the gift aspect of sensitivity is critical,
and to honour that is even more so.
Creating and Maintaining Balance
Maintaining balance as you express (whatever) your gift is the
biggest challenge. Diet is a critical factor as the how we perceive
can be subtly influenced by adequate B-vitamins (required daily),
good quality oils - all kinds - and mineral levels. Walking is
a well known factor in depression, exercise thus is also important.
The consensus (majority) view often does not suit those who are
highly sensitive as they are judged as weak. However highly sensitive
beings perform critical functions with all societies. Acceptance
by the whole is rarely possible yet that is often the first thing
we look for as our sensitivity is 'hurts'.
At the other end of the spectrum the same rules apply; people
who are confident and strong often perform better in society yet
as they approach peak perfomance emotions are the one thing that
get in the way of winning. Same rules apply to all - just in different
ways. Emotional healing (growth) is part of life, it is one of
the primary reasons why we are here.
The ability to persevere, to remain focused is very important.
Daily practise - diet, exercise, rest and sleep - is what gets
you through it. The less dogmatic you are about your practise
the better. Evangelism is a common practise as we naturally seek
community - yet it is you individual nature that sets you apart
and free.

Consultation for a status review of where you are at in any
given moment.
Management of perception is an ancient art fast
becoming a 21st century essential.
